Wills
Estate planning is critical to the future security and protection of your family. Don't underestimate the importance of having a Will and a Power of Attorney as part of your total personal plan.
A Will is the document by which a person can distribute his or her assets after death to loved ones as per his or her own wishes.
A person dying without a Will is said to die "intestate" and his or her assets are then distributed according to the Wills, Estates & Succession Act. This can be time-consuming and costly.
Your Will also names a person that is responsible to carry out the instructions in the Will. This person is called an executor, and is usually someone that you trust completely. Having good business acumen also helps. The Will may also appoint guardians for minor children.
The people that you name as beneficiaries will get your property and possessions after you die.
You can also spell out under what conditions they will receive their share.
Please contact us to arrange an initial meeting to discuss and take your instructions.
A second meeting is usually required for the review and signing of your Will.
